April Meeting – Gardeners’ Question Time

IMG_1056This month’s meeting sees us switch from our usual format of an horticultural talk and instead host a gardeners’ question time.  Joining chairman Reg Moule on the panel are three local gardening experts (details to be announced shortly).  Judging by previous GQTs it should be a lively and entertaining, and hopefully informative, evening.  So come armed with all and any questions horticultural and put the panel through their paces. Questions can also be submitted in advance, to the chairman of the WCHS, via email.

Our evening kicks off at 7.00pm with plant sales and complimentary refreshments.  The April meeting is also the occasion of the Michael Jefferson-Brown Competition.  This has two categories: firstly for a pot or container of growing flowering bulbs, corms or tubers and secondly for a vase or container of cut flowers grown from bulbs, corms or tubers.

As usual the the venue for the evening is Colwall Village Hall and complimentary refreshments will be available from 7:00pm.

Plants will be on sale before the meeting.  Anyone wishing to contribute plants to the plant stall (all proceeds going to the Percy Picton Memorial Fund) is most welcome to.

The evening is free to members or £5 per visitor. Annual membership (which runs from January to December) is £15.
