The Annual show has been held since 1942 with the exception of 2001 when it had to be cancelled due to the Foot and Mouth Disease. The show was originally organised as part of the Holidays at Home event that was organised to boost morale during World War II.
The 77th show was due to be held on the 8th August 2020 at Colwall Village Hall. However due to the Coronavirus, social distancing and government restrictions on gatherings we are having a Virtual Summer Show instead. Members of the WCHS and residents of Colwall, Mathon and Coddington are this year invited to send photo entries.
There are 4 categories: Flowers and Plants, Vegetables, Cookery and Children’s.
All photo entries are to be taken between 1st to 15th August 2020. Deadline for entries is Saturday 22nd August, although it would be very helpful for them to be sent as soon as possible before this date.
