Paul Green will describe those plants which give us real ‘Sensory Sensations’.
Paul’s nursery, Green’s Leaves, started supplying plants back in 1994 and specialises in rare and unusual plants from around the world. Paul always tests new varieties for their hardiness in the UK’s demanding climate. He will bring plants and give a practical demonstration so that we can experience how plants can please all the senses.

Paul has been obsessed with plants from childhood, growing soft fruit, rhubarb and bedding plants in his family’s back garden and selling coleus grown from seed to the local greengrocer. He went on to train at Pershore and then set up Green’s Leaves nursery on a site near Newent. The nursery specialises in plants chosen for their rarity, scent and form, or just because they are “good doers”. Paul grows a wide selection of plants including Phormiums, Australian Mint bushes, Abelias, Hardy Bromeliads, Libertias, Beschornerias, Daisy Bushes, Corokia, Sophora and Grevilleas.

The talk will start at 7.30pm in Colwall Village Hall. However, do come along from 7pm to enjoy a hot drink and a chat as well as the plant stall and raffle.
It’s the last plant sale for this year so we would be very grateful for any donated plants, cuttings, divisions and seedlings for the stall. And please bring along a bag for any plants you buy from the stall as we need to keep the floor of the village hall clean and free of compost.
