‘Branklyn Garden – A Legacy to Mr & Mrs Renton’
Jim has been head gardener at Branklyn just outside Perth for 5 years. He will take us on a tour of this garden created by the Rentons in the early 20th century.
This is a 2 acre garden developed by John and Dorothy Renton in 1922. They built an Arts & Craft inspired house and were keen to have a garden that featured rare and unusual plants and flowers from all over the world. Using seed collected by renowned plants hunters and with Dorothy’s great gardening skills, , this garden is admired for its outstanding collection of plants. It holds the National Collection of MeconopsisĀ andĀ Cassiope.
