We are very pleased to welcome Derry back to Colwall. Some years ago she gave us a inspirational talk about gravel gardening, and on Monday she will be telling us how nature can help us create wonderful gardens by including self sowing plants.

Derry is a self-confessed plantaholic and owns Special Plants Nursery just north of Bath where she sells a fantastic range of both hardy and tender perennials and seeds. She will be bringing plants to sell so remember to bring bags for your purchases!
The society’s annual Michael Jefferson-Brown competition is held at the April meeting and we would love lots of members to take part. Entries are judged on quality and presentation, with a trophy awarded for the best exhibit. There are 2 classes :
Pot or container of growing flowering bulbs, corms or tubers
Vase or container of cut flowers grown from bulbs, corms or tubers

The talk will start at 7.30pm. However, do come along from 7pm to enjoy a hot drink and a chat as well as the plant stall, raffle, and bulb competition. Guests are welcome, entry £8.
We would be very grateful for any donated plants, cuttings, divisions and seedlings for the plant stall. Please bring along a bag for any plants you buy from the stall as we need to keep the floor of the village hall clean and free of compost.
