On Monday Adam Alexander will take us on a journey around the world as he tracks down rare and endangered, but above all, delicious vegetables to grow, save seed from and share. Along the way he will include tips and tricks for saving seeds of many of the varieties many of us love to grow and why when we save seeds from our gardens we build resilience into future planting and become part of the solution to ensuring greater genetic diversity for our food crops.

Adam has a passion for growing fruit and vegetables. He grows in the region of 70 different vegetable varieties every year to supply seed to libraries, collectors, and people keen to conserve genetic food pant diversity.
In his latest book “ The Accidental Seed Heroes”, Adam meets twenty-first century seed heroes, who are not only championing traditional varieties but also breeding delicious new ones that will be more resilient and better-equipped to deal with the shocks of a changing climate.
The talk will start at 7.30pm in Colwall Village Hall.
However, do come along from 7pm to socialise, have a coffee, and buy a raffle ticket or two.
