On Monday Sally Morgan, botanist, author and no-dig organic gardener, will reveal which types of gardens and which techniques are best suited to deal with the extremes of climate change.

Sally studied botany at Cambridge University followed by several years as a restoration ecologist. She specializes in drought-tolerant techniques, including aggregate beds, hugel-style raised beds, clover lawns, and water harvesting designed for a changing climate.
Sally’s main focus now is her walled garden and she aims to create “an ornamental and productive, sustainable garden that is rich in biodiversity and resilient to climate change”.

Please remember that we need donations of good quality, interesting plants for our plant stall, which raises funds for the Percy Picton Memorial Fund. It’s really helpful if they come labelled with a name and price, though any unsold plants do need to be taken back home at the end of the meeting. And bring a bag for your purchases … we need to keep the floor of the village hall free of compost!
Doors open from 7pm for a 7.30 start. However, do come along from 7pm to enjoy a hot drink and a chat as well as the plant stall and raffle.
