Garden opening in Colwall for members of the WCHS ‘Alderley’

Members of the WCHS may remember that Sidney and Veronica Benjamin had kindly offered to host our annual Evening Visit last June which was cancelled due to Covid restrictions. The good news is, Sidney and Veronica are now happy to welcome groups of up to 4 people, who are members of the society, to their garden. This will be by appointment. Please call them on 01684 541136 to arrange a time that suits.

They would like to ask visitors to make a donation and proceeds will go to the Percy Picton Memorial Fund, as will any money taken from plant sales. They have a 2 acre garden on the edge of Colwall with a large range of plants with mainly naturalistic design. What a lovely opportunity to meet up with a friend or 2 and support the PPMF.

Sharon Maiden is also opening Coddington Vineyard on 30th May from 11 – 3pm. This is a garden open under the NGS scheme but Kay will be there with a plant stall. Proceed from the sale of these plants go to the PPMF. Kay would like to ask for donations of plants to sell on the stall which would need to be dropped off on the day. Please label any plants that you are able to donate.

Looking forward to seeing you later on for tonight’s talk ‘A Year in Pots’ with Harriet Rycroft. Scroll down to find zoom log in details.
