April 2022 meeting with Kathryn Robey of The Dorothy Clive Gardens and The Michael Jefferson-Brown Competition!

Our April meeting on Monday 4th April will be enjoyable and interesting as well as full of the sights and scents of spring!! A talk, a competition, plant stall, raffle and a cup of tea or coffee!

Kathyrn Robey is curator of The Dorothy Clive Gardens in Staffordshire and will give us wonderful visual tour of the gardens throughout the year. This beautiful 12 acre garden is one to be recommended with many areas of diverse interest and incredible collections of plants including rhododendrons, azaleas and hydrangeas to name a few! The talk will start just after 7.30pm.

Before that however, please arrive with some pound coins for the raffle AND your entry for The Michael Jefferson-Brown Competition. This is for members only and entries will be judged on quality and presentation. There are 2 classes (one entry per person per class):

1: A pot or container of growing flowering bulbs, corms or tubers.

2 A vase or container of cut flowers grown form bulbs, corms or tubers

I’m hoping for lots of entries this year to lift all our spirits as we enjoy them over a tea or coffee. A trophy will be awarded for the best overall exhibit.

You will be able to renew your subscription on the evening. Visitors are welcome for £5.

Looking forward to seeing you.
