Our talk on the 6th July will be by Bob Hares and is entitled ‘My Garden in July’.
Bob Hares trained at Pershore College and RHS Wisley, before returning to Pershore to work in the decorative glasshouse and nursery as well as lecturing. While there he discovered new plants including Ceanothus ‘Zanzibar’, Penstemon ‘Pershore Pink Necklace’ and Zantedeschia aethiopica ‘Pershore Fantasia’. Since retirement he has continued to fill his RHS advisory role and run a gardening club at a local primary school.
The talk will commence at 7:30pm with complimentary refreshments available from 7pm. Visitors are always welcome and we charge £4 per visitors – membership is £12 per year.
Members are reminded that trophys for the annual show need to be returned by the 1st July to the Secretary. We would also welcome contributions for the tombola for the Annual Show.
