Unfortunately, it is no surprise that we have to cancel our June meeting about Peonies and Irises. However, Paul Picton and Helen are working on an article about Peonies which will be posted on Paul’s blog/website. As with last month’s article by Victoria Summerley, this will be accessed via the link on our WCHS website. I will let you know when it is ready.
If you are regular viewers of BBC 2 Gardener’s World, some of you may have seen an episode featuring our June speaker, Susannah Applegate. If you didn’t catch it, I can recommend you watching it on BBC iplayer: 2020: Episode 5. It is a lovely piece and Susannah’s love of and enthusiasm for growing Peonies comes through. It contains some interesting information too. If you don’t want to watch the whole episode, her piece begins about 13 minutes in.
