On Monday 7th August, Paul is coming to talk to us about some lovely Irish gardens. He has recently retired as Head Gardener of Altamont Gardens, Co Carlow, Ireland. This is a large garden which hosts an excellent plant collection within the natural landscape. I’m sure we will discover much more about this and other delightful Irish gardens.
As usual, light refreshments are available from 7pm. Please bring plenty of money to buy plants from the plant stall and tickets for the raffle.
We hope you are busy ticking off the classes you are going to enter in the Flower and Produce Show on Saturday 12th August. How are your Coleus plants coming along? Let’s make this a show to remember and fill the halls with flowers, plants, fruit, vegetables and exquisite crafts and photos. Not forgetting sweet and savoury edibles!
Don’t forget to bring along your donations for the tombola or raffle. We are also looking for people to make cakes for the refreshment stall. Any spare produce such as jams, chutneys, tomatoes etc you may have can also be brought along on the day to sell.
Thank you for your help and support.
