December Meeting and AGM

We hope to see as many of you as possible at the AGM which will start promptly at 7pm on Monday 2nd December. The hall will be open from 6.30 pm for refreshments including mulled apple juice from Colwall Orchard Group, and homemade mince pies.

This includes last year’s minutes as well as the Agenda, Chairman’s Report, Treasurer’s Report and the Audited Accounts for 2024. To save on trees and printing costs please take a look at the documents on our website.

After the AGM Duncan Coombs will be transporting us to a warmer climate with his talk about The Flowering of The Desert, The Chilean Atacama.

This will be Duncan’s fourth talk for our society and, as always, he will entertain and inform us about the stunning flora of the world’s driest non-polar desert in the world; the impressive superbloom of the Atacama in 2022 spurred the Chilean government to designate the area a national park.

Having spent more than 30 years sharing his passion for plants with students at Pershore College, Duncan is an enthusiastic lecturer, RHS Garden Adviser, and keen plant hunter. His interest in horticulture has taken him off to far flung parts of China, Japan, and the Himalayas to spend time looking for new, undiscovered species.
