Our next meeting is on Monday 2nd September. Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30 start. Come early for a coffee and a chat. Visitors are welcome, with entry at £8, under-18s free.
Nurseryman Jack Willgoss from Shropshire’s Wildegoose Nursery will be talking about ‘The Late Summer Border’. Jack believes in organic gardening and has gardened for ten years without irrigation or compost heaps and has analysed how plants have fared during drought and flood. He grows only plants that can survive with very little attention and provide a picture of colour.
It’s the final plant stall for this year, so please bring any spare good quality, interesting plants you have and help support the Percy Picton Memorial Fund.
It’s really helpful if they come labelled with a name and price, though any unsold plants do need to be taken back home at the end of the meeting.
Remember to bring some money to spend on the raffle and plant stall and a bag … we need to keep the floor of the village hall free of compost!
